I have a 1995 Force (merc) OB with power trim. Two yrs ago it stopped working and the lift cylinder and pump housing (now not sure if the parts in the housing were replaced or reused) were replaced to the tune of nearly $800 bucks (ouch). This spring went to move it and it won't go up or down...
