I just purchased my first boat, a 2001 Astro 1852 SL. It is an 18' bowrider style boat. On the specifications it lists the maximum capacity is 5 persons or 640 lbs. Why is the weight limit so low for this size boat when I have seen other 18' boats with a weight limit as much as 1000 lbs or more...
