    what is the true purpose of the blowoff valve

    on a 1996 225 oceanrunner what is the purpose of the blowoff valve between the thermostats? did the 1992 model connect with a hose tsat-to tstat.any help would be gratley appeciated.thanks brances toy.

    need advice--johnson 225 blowoff delima.

    :cool:had a 1996 engine gernade,rebuilt a 1992 block/piston ***. reused 1996 heads.1992 block has no blowoff valve only a 1/8 pipe hole into water jacket.can i just install a pipe tee here for my two tstat hoses.should i just run a straight hose from tstat to tstat and leave 1/8 pipe drilling...
