i tried checking out the dead cylinder the cylinder does have compression and spark , do you have any other suggestions on what to check next maybe the carb?
hey j.b.cornwell i tried pulling the plug wire off the cylinder and sure enough the motor kept on running(this is the reason for lack of speed)what does it run approx. to overhaul the motor and do you think it's worth it? (the motor is a 1974 evinrude muskie 15 50 h.p.)
i have a 1974 muskie 15 and can't get more than 5 mph. i changed gas cleaned tank and filters , primer bulb is hard while running, the choke works o.k., the tank isn't creating a va***n. any other suggestions?
i have a 1974 evinrude muskie 15(50hp) and i can't seem to get more than 5-10 mph.I have checked the choke,the coil, the gas filters and trimed back and forward yet nothing and it runs fine just no speed !!!
