    U-Joint shaft question...

    :confused: What is the purpose of the two o-rings mounted on the forward end of the U-joint shaft (Pcs. 15 of http://mercstuff.com/fichea.htm ) other than to eliminate metal-to-metal contact with the gimble bearing and reduce noise? I see no way that it acts as a grease seal.
