Took in my 14 ft cc with an 1983 500 on it for a tune up as i could not get it idling well. I had previously done a carb and fuel pump rebuild, impeller replacement and checked compression which was good. Got it peeing water good but could not get it to run smooth and would not idle at all...
ive got a 14 ft center console setting it up with an older 2 stroke 4 cyl 50 hp. i don't have much expireance with outboards. what would an average size fuel tank be for this motor?
I found this wiring diagram in another post for a later model 80 hp. It seems to reflect my engine which is a '68 50 hp 4 cyl engine.
Is this just the standard wiring for a 2 stroke 4 cyl mercury? Will anything be different on my 50 hp than this 80 hp?
thanks
