Experiencing intermittent problem when using trailer button for raising outdrive. Like to test to insure its Trim limit switch and use the boat a couple more times before the season is over.
I've seen various posts where it says you can bypass the trim limit switch by unplugging the two bullet...
I have a '90 Mercruiser 5.7 / 260 and having trouble with the trailer switch. It blew a fuse the other day, replaced the fuse then intermittently the trailer switch or the trim switch won't work.
I tried to find the correct manual from the index posted here...
'90 Mercruiser engine and drive out of boat to get some structural issues corrected. Reinstalled engine and after hooking up shift and control cables it appears its not fully engaging into reverse, forward is OK. (Had shift lever control out of boat as well)

Have 90' Mercruiser Alpha I with single lever shifter. Had removed the shifter etc when new interior was installed and neglected to note how neutral ring was oriented behind shift lever.
The shifter's face plate boat (boat with arrows) is for a starboard installation but my boat was delivered...
