    Hello, What are the torque specs for thermostat cover bolts? I searched and found 6lbs for a 40 hp yamaha. Can't find the answer in my crappy Clymer manual. The motor is a 115 Yamaha 1989 ETLF

    Black goop coming from prop exhaust. runs for 5 mins, shuts down and won't restart.

    '90 Yammy 115 New problem: Runs for 5 minutes, shuts down and won't restart. Also, black goop coming out of the propeller. I was thinking the carb needed to be cleaned when I noticed the black goop coming out of the exhaust at the propeller. (Not gear oil) :confused:

    New swtich panel came with circuit breakers

    New switch panel came with circuit breakers for each switch, do these take the place of fuses?

    Proper RPMs at idle?

    I searched with no luck. What RPMs should my 1990 115hp Yamaha idle at? I had some work done, and asked him to check the idle...it now idles at 1000 rpms.
