    1982 blueband mercury 40 Gearbox wont remove

    I have a blueband mercury 40hp and want to remove the gearbox to replace the impellor. :redface: now that sounds simple. however. i have removed the exterior nuts and bolts and it wont drop. i have tried tapping it with a mallet and still no joy. is there something im missing? :confused:

    Mercury 40 1970's No Spark? Help!!

    HI. I Have a mercury 402 40 blueband thunderbolt ignition. it has a smashed stop switch. i bought it as a 'as seen' and currently get no spark but when disconnecting the stop switch and putting it against the engine, it sparks, so does anyone know what is wrong with it? no spark comes from...
