Impeller replaced, motor is running fabulously...however someone caught the lever with a truck tire and broke the lever off. The shift shaft seems fine, i can find fwd/neutral/reverse and it runs/shift great.
Do I need to replace the whole gear selector shaft w/tab ???? any other fixes?:(

Newbie question, repair manual on order but while I wait....
1957 johnson 18, lower unit leaks from this hole (see pics), clean machined hole...what is it? should it be plugged? Any help appreciated.
