Noticed today on my 2002 EFI 200hp engine charred wires inside from the alternator all the way around engine bloc. The engine still runs. I believe this happened the last time out. Never notice any smell from the coupling at all.
How hard is it to replace the wiring? Not sure if the alt is gone...
