    hello can anybody help me? I've got a 898 mercruiser with a 305 engine. my bilge was filling up with water when out fishin. brought the boat home and filled the bilge up with water up to the oil pan and water started coming out of the port side exhaust port. any help would be great...

    Engine Dies When Put In Reverse

    I have a 305 Mercruiser with a 888 outdrive. My question is, does anybody know of any reason why the engine would die when it is put in reverse but runs great in forward??? ANY and ALL information will be greatly appreceiated. Thank you:eek:
