    Trim Cylinder Crack, can it be welded?

    Any body had any luck having a crack in a trim cylinder welded up? I was rushing moving my boat around the yard and backed it up and dug the foot into the ground, next thing I know I've got a 6 inch crack running down the cylinder. Checking online I'm seeing this cylinder for $375-$500...
