Re sealing my old 1994 Mercury 30 hp lower gear case and need to remove the shift shaft to replace the O
rings. After I remove the prop shaft and the driveshaft is the shift shaft support threaded in OR is it just pressed in and just pull out with a bit of force. (slide hammer)?
Just finished putting back together after overhaul of my 1989 XR4. It starts immediately and idles fine for about 20 seconds and then fuel begins flowing out ALL of the front of the carbs. Have tried with another set of carbs, reset the float levels and still the same problem no matter what...
