Looking at a new outboard engine, guy had a problem and switch’s put the terminals on wrong side, does the 2002 Yamaha 150hp 2 stroke have a fuse that will help this so it doesn’t damage the whole engine or what would a repair look like ?

I replaced the starter in my boat 1988 glastron onboard and now I don’t have any power to move the starter, any suggestions please just trying to get the boat back and running
