    Runs fine but hard to start.

    2001 Mercury 2 stroke. I really struggle to get it started. It idles and runs great once i start it but as soon as i shut it off and try to restart it turns over but refuses to fire up. Ball fills up and stays full no apparent fuel leaks. Plugs are good. I try using choke and throttle too but...

    Alternator location?

    I have a 2001 Mercury 150 2 stroke with charging problems. I took off cowling and don't see the alternator anywhere! Can someone post a pic or explain where it is in engine? I have changed them in my car before but don't seem to be able to even find it in an outboard.
