Recently purchased a boat with a 1986 Mariner magnum 2 stroke carb on it. It sounds like it has a dead spot if you take it from idle to acceleration. It doesn't want to accelerate until throttle gets above 1/2 way. then you have to adjust throttle back & forth to get it to go, then it runs...
