I have recently purchased a 1988 Johnson 140 VRO. My outboard mechanic told me I should modify the cooling system by removing the crossover hose between the two thermostats. Does anyone know what this hose is for, and what benefit I might see by removing it.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Foneman
