    2006 Merc 40 HP 4-stroke won't start in cold weather

    I use this soley for duck hunting. When temp is below 20-25 degrees farenheit, engine won't turn over. Acts as though compression is too high. Is there an electronic decompression circuit not activating? Thanks for any input/suggestions.
