    Piston numbers for 1980 mercury 70 hp

    Can anyone tell me which is piston number one in a 1980 mercury 70 hp? I just noticed the coils are numbered, and the wires from the coils to the spark plugs are numbered, but I am not sure the wires are to the corresponding piston. Thank you.
