My 16' Jupiter came with a 9.9 HP Merc. I would like to upgrade over the winter to an engine capable of pulling a skier or a tube. What range of HP should I be looking at? My boat is rated at 85 HP max. Thanks.
A couple of months ago, I posted pics of my new 1970 Jupiter. It took me until this week to come up with an appropriate tow vehicle for my classy little boat. Today, my wife and I finally took her out. We had a blast.
I recently retired and have purchased my first boat. A 1970 Starcraft Jupiter, an aluminum 16 footer. I do not yet have a tow vehicle. My question- Can anyone give me an estimate of my boat's weight? Thanks in advance.
