    Setting the timing on a 1997 4.3?

    I have all the tools,Just need to know how to jump dist. so advance will not happen. Delco ign / 8deg,otdc.

    Weak spark (yellow)4.3 vortec (1996)

    Motor is 1997-4.3gl with gm dist. Spark is yellow New coil,wires,cap,spark plugs. Any info would help.
