I have a 2004 Merc 40. I recently removed the remote steer and installed a tiller kit. I never ran it as a remote steer so I couldn't tell you how it preformed.
Well, I can't get the motor to idle correctly. It surges horribly. Idles way down and than almost dies than idles way back up...
