    '71-'72 9.5 hp evinrude wont run with out choke

    In addition to the title, no response when throttle is twisted. Jets are all clear. Disassembled carb and throughly cleaned. When running with choke, you can push the choke plate down a bit and let it up and it revs up. Could it be the fuel pump?

    1973 20 hp won't run

    I just recently bought a flat bottom boat with a 1973 20 hp Johnson. The motor runs but only if yhou squirt gas/oil mixture into the carb. I've pulled the fuel lines and made sure they were getting fuel through them, with the same results. I then pulled the carb off and cleaned the outer...
