    My 4 stroke 9.9 Mariner of 1997 vintage is not easy to start from cold, but starts instantly on easystart (naughty!) I have the manual but it is no help in checking if the electric choke is working, can someone tell me how I can check it is working O.K. please?

    Hi all from across the pond. Can anyone give me an idea as to why my 20amp fuse is blowing. If I spin the engine for more than 4/5 seconds and it has not started, the fuse blows!     9.9 solanoid

    Hello helpful people! On a 9.9 Mariner outboard I have power to the solonoid when I turn the key but nothing is happening! If I take a cable from the battery direct to the starter, turns over fine. Is is the solonoid for sure or could it be anything else? Many thanks in advance......
