    Thermostat Question on a 4.3l Mercruiser

    I have a 1988 Searay with a 4.3l mercruiser engine. The left side big hose coming from the thermostat is getting a back flow of boiling water flow. It seems like the water is flowing through the thermo ok but water from the block is back flowing. Any ideas?

    I have a 1987 searay seville. I currently purchased a new 4.3l and I have installed it. I have brand new spark plugs, distributor assembly, and fuel. It starts and idles fine but when under load it acts like its wanting more gas. Could this be a fuel pump issue? Im pretty sure timing is on but...
