I have a 1980 Evinrude 75hp. It takes me about 4 or 5 tries to get the motor started and I have it in the Start position on the bar when starting. It will start up and tack up very high until I lower the bar. Then it will run fine and idle fine until I shut it off. Then I have the same issue...
