    hole in the back of the exhaust housing - is it supposed to be plugged?

    The hole in this picture seem to blowing out exhaust from it since the cowling is covered of exhaust residue in that area(back middle of the cowling .Is this normal? or should there be a plug there to stop exhaust coming back into the cowling. Let me know. Dan
