    800 thunderbolt wont idle long

    I can pump the bulband get it to crank but it only runs 30-60 seocnds or so. Anyone know how I can check some things out so I only have to buy one part?... hopefully! 1970 model 80 HP. Any hints would be great.

    stalls while trying to idle in gear

    I have a 70 model mercury 800. It stalls out when trying to idle around at low rpms(around dock and what not). Im not a boat mech. by no means but I am fairly mechanically inclined.
