    Where to find this steering joint? 1976 40hp Evinrude

    Where can I find a steering joint as shown in the picture? This is off a 1976 40hp Evinrude. It pops out of socket when tilting the motor for transport.

    1976 40hp Evinrude fouling 1 spark plug

    The motor will start and run/idle rough at ~1/4 throttle. Boat will plane out and run for ~1 minute then it will start to surge and lose power. It will eventually stay at a power loss occassionally surging for a second or two at a time. The top spark plug fouls and the bottom plug looks good...
