    Flywheel and aluminium shavings

    I just finished swapping lower units and it does fit B to D lowers. Motor ran great for about 20 minutes then there was a terrible squealing sound from under the cover . When I removed the cover there was shavings all over the motor( look like aluminium ) .They seem to be from under flywheel...

    Force 150 lower unit swap

    I have a force 150 believe it to be a 1990 (model 1508f9a) (serial 16285) this past weekend on the maiden trip the lower shaft through the water pump snapped . The previous owner had work done and I believe a gasket wasn't installed properly and the lower unit was full of water when taken apart...
