I have a 1989 Evinrude 200XP. The engine starts and idles good. When you put it in gear and try to accelerate, it goes up to about 2000 rpms and don't want to go any farther. Sometimes, if you keep it wide open, it will eventually plane out, then the engine really runs great....lots of power...
