My 2000 Suzuki 100hp outboard will die on throttle up if you idle it too long. Will work fine if I keep engine at 2000rpm's or above. Lately it also has been killing every time i put it in reverse. I've had it in the shop, they tell me this motor is notorius for rough idling and that it works...
