    shifting into reverse

    I have to rev the engine to 2000 or 3000 to get it to shift into reverse, no problem going into forward, what is going on? 1997 75hp Mercury Force.

    Force ourboard tube from lower unit.

    I recently spun the hub in my prop, at the same time I noticed a 1/4 inch tube coming from the transom side of the lower unit was disconnected. I got the hub fixed but cannot find where the tube goes, any help? 1997 75 hp Force (mercury) outboard.
