I have a 1977 OMC stringer sterndrive and have recently installed a new impeller, water pump housing and wear plate on the lower unit. It will not pump water at low RPMs, but will at higher RPMs. (Around 1,600 or so) So at idle it gets hot. Any ideas?
This is a 4 cylinder engine.
