    I have been having problems with my 1976 135. i tested the compression and it checks out good. also replaced the coils , CDI , plugs and wires. i have no problem getting it started and running on cylinders 1 and 3. I took off 2 and 4 and it runs the same if not better. so i know it is ignition...

    1976 johnson 135 ideal problem....
