    25 mercury running wide open

    I have a 97 25hp mercury 2 stroke that has been sitting a while. I cleaned the carb, new plugs, new gas and a new tank and line. It would start at all until I choked it then it cut right off. Finally it ran wide open like it was going to blow up. Any suggestions thank you.
