I recently bought a '96 model 90 johnson. Took it out for the first time and I had to get towed in. The motor runs fine, I heard a clonk clonk noise and lost propulsion. With the motor off and in gear I cannot turn the prop. In nuetral I can turn the prop. Seems to me that it is going into gear...
