    tachometer pegging

    1995 Duckworth 20' with 140 hp Suzuki 2 stroke outboard. When the ignition is switched on, after a 10-15 second pause the tachometer pegs out. Starting the motor makes no difference. Any help appreciated. thanks Jamby
