    Folks, I know this must get old for you. Seems most posts are asking you this :) Anyway, I just bought a boat that has a Mariner outboard. Its a 115 hp. The serial is A156183. Can anyone here tell me what year it is?

    Serial number question

    Hello folks, I am a new owner of my first boat. It has a 115 hp Mariner, but not sure about much more than that. I would like to know where to look for the serial. I took the cover off and looked around, assuming it was stamped onto metal. Any suggestions?
