    1966 Mercury 50 hp

    Trying to disassemble my lower unit. Can anyone tell me how to get the pinion gear off the drive shaft without force. I would like to replace the driveshaft bearing also. Already removed snap ring,,,now what. also it wont shift into forward. any help would be appreciated! Thanks Tony
