    Outdrive clatters when put in gear!

    Mow on to the next problem with my 1978 OMC 800 outdrive. Now that the tilt is working, when I put the boat into reverse or forward the outdrive clatters and shakes or "judders a few times before engaging. Once engaged, it works fine. Any ideas? Perhaps an adjustment, or something more serious?
