    I want to find out the model year of my Yamaha 40HP. Just bought the boat and motor and there are letters/or numbers on both sides of the transom clamp. On the one side it reads 40 ELN. But on the other side it reads 6H4 then the engraved numbers 401184. I am assuming it is a 1984. Is that...
