    Help only 4400rpm on 40 hp

    After replacing my stator and coils she only runs at 4400 rpm WOT, before the stator went bad I was getting 5000+ rpm the compression is 140 on both cyls. carb/fuel pump has been rebuilt. ive tried the timing @32 static WOT where it seems to run best (and what the manul says). Any ideas 1992...

    1992 Force 40 hp no start

    On a cold morning(32 deg.) took boat out on lake started up as usual its always a little cold blooded, ran fine at WOT for 10 minutes stop fished for a hour then went to start it didnt crank up right away (it usually does) ran another 10 min across lake shut it down and then no start at all...
