    Definition of lean / rich?

    Would one of the experts explain these. Rich = Rich in Fuel or Air. Lean = Lean in Fuel or Air. One time it seems someone is describing a lean situation and it appears to be 'too little fuel' and the next time it seems to be 'too little air'...So which is it? Thanks.
