    Stupid question? Gas additives

    I have a 1979 Spirit 9.9. It calls for leaded gas with 85 oct.Should I use a lead additive sub and would using the highest octang rated gas help with fouling? Stupid question but the answers may help alot of other guys. :rolleyes:

    no power

    Heres what I have, 1979 ,DT9.9, Suzuki, Decal Spirit.also the head is silver in color.Runs and starts great but wont power up or push the 14 ft, sea nyphia fishing boat.Not missing or running rough, feels like I;m dragging a anchor.What should the compresson be? :confused:
