I have a 4 stroke 10 hp honda kicker motor mid 80's on my boat and i had a splice put in a fuel line from my main tank. to the swim step where the outboard is located. it has a fuel starvation cannot pull the gas that far (about 15') when i attach it to the portable full tank it runs fine...
