    Plug lead removal

    I need to replace my spark plug leads and was wondering how to remove the old leads from the coils, They spin freely in the coils but do not want to come out, Is there any trick to getting the lead to come away from the coil? I haven't put too much pressure on them just in case I broke them off...

    I have a 1978 70HP Merc (700) with compression as follows #1=125, #2=120, #3=95. My spark plug appearance is as follows: #1=Dry and slightly brown, #2=Wet and black oily deposits, #3=wet and clean (Like New). Would these indications be related to compression, All plugs fire with a clean blue...
