    when i tried to take off housing for the pop-it valve both bolts snapped, my question is how careful do i need to be to not get metal shavings to fall inside and should i drill and retap or helicoil?

    oil in water

    kinda new to boating so please bear with me...85 yamaha prov 150 when we come to idle after running there seems to be alot of oil gas mix on top of the water didnt really notice this until recently i just added oil (quicksilver) dont know if that has anything to do with it. also man this sight...

    question for rodbolt

    you said that the black enamel look on plugs is usually caused by cool combustion temps and/or to much oil and to check for water on the plugs by a color on the electrodes....if there is no sign of water what will be the remedy of to much oil...also could older oil cause this same enamel look?

    its a little hard to start but once started it runns great all day no more probelms starting just the first time of the day..any ideas???<br />also can anyone tell me what the little black box under the oil resovoir is it has a toggle switch on it..

    i have a 2004 explorer..do you think i can pull a 19.5 procraft bass boat with a 150 hp yamaha on a tandem axle searay trailer that has surge brakes safely? not gonna be going on any long trips mabye 60 miles tops? thanks for any input

    i bought a 87 procraft 19.5 ft with a yamaha pro v 150 what would be the wot rpm range. are there any issues with the motor i need to be aware of.<br />currently it runs around 4900 with a full tank of gas and 2 men with fishing gear. thanks for any info.

    prop size

    anyone know what the correct prop setup would be for a suzuki dt140 on a 17 ft bass boat, shop says its overpropped it acts like its loading up with 3/4 throttle..... wont go 20 mph?????? any other suggestions what it might be???

    92 dt140 repair question?

    tilt and trim was leaking down and the boat had no power at wot so i took it to a certified suzuki dealer to have it fixed. he says that the tilt and trim motor/valve body are no longer availble? wants to replace it with a cmc? says he took carbs apart ( cleaned them ) should fix wot probelm...

    dt140 compression question

    is it possible to lose compression at higher rpms? if so what could be possible reason? had the compression checked 110 each cyl. wondering if when the motor gets good and warmed up if it can lose compression? im new at boating and it hasnt been a pleasent experience so far hope it gets better...

    when wot seems like its loading up???

    92 suzuki dt140 idles great when engaged it runs smooth but when you try to go wot it seems like its loading up? is it to rich??? any suggestions??

    92 dt140 trim probelm

    ive got a 1992 suz. dt140 when you trim up it bleeds back down slowly. replaced the o rings in the valve body, the fluid is full and clean dont know where to look next?
