    Cant get boat on plane, 40 HP wont go faster than 14 mph

    I have an 16ft aluminum boat with an 40 hp Nissan on it. cranks and sounds good. I am unable to get it on plane. wide open throttle it will only go 14 mph. motors sounds like it wants to go but it just doesnt go. sounds like at any second it would t take off.     Need Help, will a different prop help?

    I have an 16 ft aluminum boat with a Nissan 40HP 2 stroke on it. I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. Top speed on it is only 15 MPH. I cant get it to get on plane. the bow rises and wont plane out. Takes off ok but when a load is put on it motor seems to not go any faster...
